May 11, 2024 - Starting last Saturday, May 4, 2024, the traffic and law enforcement personnel of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) have continuously shown dedication to their physical fitness training. This initiative is in line with the LTO’s commitment to ensuring the physical and mental well-being of its personnel.

Today, May 11, 2024, the training was personally supervised again by LTO Chief, Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II. The aim of the training is to further improve the performance of the enforcers in their duties for road safety and order.
The training was led by Joel Ybanez, Chief of the Enforcement Regulation Section. This is part of the LTO’s efforts to maintain a high standard of public safety.
The LTO has always prioritized the health and fitness of its personnel. In the past, they required Periodic Medical Exams (PME) from the drivers who will be receiving licenses in an effort to ensure the physical and mental well-being of drivers and maintain a high standard of public safety. However, as of April 2023, the obligatory periodic medical exam has been scrapped by the agency.
Despite the discontinuation of the PME, the LTO continues to uphold its commitment to road safety and public welfare through initiatives like this physical fitness training. The training not only ensures that the enforcers are physically fit, but also mentally prepared to handle the challenges of their duties.
This ongoing commitment to fitness and well-being is a testament to the LTO’s dedication to creating a safer road environment for all road users.
